最近叔叔带我们去了几个动物保护组织。在与工作人员的交流过程中，我很高兴的发现我能听懂绝大多数工作人员说的英语，这让我想起了我的英语学习。今年我就要17岁了，随着即将进入新的人生阶段，我也更加清晰地意识到学好英语的重要性。要想在西方社会学习、工作和生活，有着良好的英语水平是至关重要的。在新的一年里，我要认真努力的学习英语，以便在即将到来的托福考试和大学申请中取得成功。
Recently uncle took us to several animal protection organizations. During the communication with the staff, I was pleased to find that I could understand the English spoken by most of the staff, which reminded me of my English learning. I will be 17 years old this year, and as I am about to enter a new stage of life, I am more aware of the importance of learning English well. A good command of English is essential to study, work and live in a Western society. In the new year, I will study English seriously so that I can succeed in the upcoming TOEFL test and university application.
