Winter solstice 冬至

这周三,我们迎来了冬至。因为冬至时要吃饺子,于是叔叔准备了酸菜猪肉和芹菜猪肉的饺子馅。因为我包的饺子面临露馅的风险,于是我被分配到了擀饺子皮的任务。一开始,我擀的饺子皮很小。叔叔说看能不能让饺子皮再大些,这样就可以包进更多的馅料。于是,我将饺子皮擀的大了,但又过于薄了,大家包的时候非常容易露馅。雨霏告诉我,饺子皮要中间厚,边缘薄。几次之后,我终于擀出了比较合适的饺子皮。这件事情告诉我,没有简简单单就可以做成的事情。任何事情都需要动脑子,都需要持有谦恭的态度,都需要认真学习和实践。


This Wednesday, we ushered in the winter solstice. Because dumplings are eaten during the winter solstice, my uncle prepared dumplings filled with sauerkraut pork and celery pork. Because the dumplings I made faced the risk of revealing the stuffing, I was assigned the task of rolling the dumpling wrappers. At the beginning, the dumpling skins I rolled were very small. Uncle said to see if the dumpling skin can be made bigger so that more fillings can be wrapped. So, I made the dumpling skin bigger, but it was too thin, and it was easy to reveal the stuffing when everyone wrapped it. Alice told me that the dumpling skin should be thick in the middle and thin at the edges. After a few times, I finally rolled out a more suitable dumpling wrapper. This incident taught me that there is no simple thing that can be done. Everything requires brains, a humble attitude, and serious study and practice.
