Last week, an article that touched me a lot was called "A Letter from Einstein to His Daughter." This letter (article) mentions: There is an endless source of energy, and so far science has not found a reasonable explanation for him. It is a life force that encompasses and rules over everything else. And after any cosmic operating phenomenon, it is not even defined by us. This vitality is called "love". As scientists struggle to find an undefined unified theory of the universe, they have forgotten most of the powerful invisible forces. Love is light, and love can reveal to those who give it and receive it. Love is gravity, because love makes people attracted to each other. Love is energy because love produces the best of us. Because of love, we live, because of love, we leave. Love is God, and God is love. ...if we want our species to survive, if we discover the meaning of life, if we want to save the world and every creature that inhabits it, love is the only answer.
In Einstein's description, "love" is an infinite, powerful invisible force. And this can also be reflected in life. Because your parents love you, they will help you unconditionally and raise you as an adult. Good friends, iron buddies love you, so they will help you unconditionally...and many, many more. But I don't think that's all about "love" that Einstein was talking about, because that kind of "love" isn't enough to be the only answer to saving the world and every creature that lives in it. So what exactly is "love"?
In my uncle, we read a lot of really good articles, learned a lot of the truth of being a human being, and got to know a lot of great human beings in the world. Mother Teresa is one of them, Nobel Peace Prize winner, Mother Teresa who dedicated her life to the world's poor. There is such a story: The Kosovo civil war broke out in Yugoslavia. Theresa went to ask the commander in charge of the war and said that women and children in the war zone could not escape. Ah, there is no way." Teresa said, "Then, I have to go!" Teresa walked into the war zone, and as soon as the two sides heard that Mother Teresa was in the war zone, the two sides immediately ceased fire, and when she took the women and children in the war zone After taking it out, the two sides fought again. The news later reached the United Nations. UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan heard the news and praised: Even I can't do this. The United Nations has mediated several times before, and the civil war in Yugoslavia has never ceased fire, but after Theresa walked in, the two sides could immediately cease fire automatically. Mother Teresa spent her life loving all the poor in the world, so in the end, the power of this "love" of hers stopped the civil war and amazed the world. So I think this kind of love is the love that changes the world. This reminds me of a sentence said by Master Hongyi: Love is compassion. So I think, "love" is not a simple adjective. Love is divided into selfishness and selflessness, and selfish love (family affection, affection, friendship) is the foundation for ordinary people to survive in the world. And selfless love is what Buddhists call compassion, and this selfless love can become the power to change the world.
With my uncle, we have grown from ignorant children to the present, and have learned a lot of knowledge that cannot be touched by our peers outside. And the change in the way of thinking is one of the most rare things. Why do you say that your uncle can change people's lives, because we are no longer so selfish and depraved. Because we gradually began to think about problems from the perspective of the other party, because we will not be badly influenced by the outside world. Because Mother Teresa, the selfless love explained by Master Hongyi for us, is completely reflected in the uncle's body, and it is reflected in the uncle's education of the children. Because my uncle taught us such selfless love, our lives have changed, so we have a hopeful future.
adjust your state
My uncle told us a long time ago that when we listen to articles and other people's stories, we must compare ourselves with ourselves. If you are good, you should follow it, and if you are not good, you must reflect on yourself to see if there are these problems. So I like the time to read articles every day, because during this time I can reflect a lot of my own problems through different articles.
Recently, I feel that my state is a little unstable, I often do not reflect actively, and I feel a little drowsy most of the time. The reason I find deep in my heart is that the weather has become cold recently, it is late in the morning, and it leads to various reasons such as sleepiness. At the same time, because reflection and other things are not so good, when encountering things, the starting point will be from one's own point of view, and there is relatively little time to consider others. Contradictory situations have also appeared, and many signs indicate that the state is unstable. Of course, I think I am clear in my heart and know that incorrect thoughts have appeared in my thoughts, but the clear side is always fleeting. Therefore, it is only known that the state is unstable, but it cannot be corrected in time.
The time to read the article gives us a good time to reflect. Especially when we are in an unstable state, the articles we read are very well-received. For example, if there is an idea of jealousy in our hearts, the content of jealousy will appear in the article. . If you have the idea of complaining, the article may be devoted to complaining. It feels like God has helped you, and everything has been arranged. Of course, as the saying goes, the master leads the door, and the practice depends on the individual. In a good environment, there is an uncle by our side to lead us forward, I bear it is our luckiest place. At the same time, with such an environment, I should work harder, recognize my incorrect way of thinking, adjust my state, live with a positive and sunny attitude, and study happily with my uncle.
October is the golden red season, October, the harvest season, October, the misty season, October, a tragic and beautiful season. At the beginning of the month, my uncle took us to the Port Hope Conservation Area, a nature reserve in the Greater Toronto Area, to watch the annual salmon return.
For those of us who are watching this scene for the first time, it can only be described as tragic. Spectacular, because dozens of hundreds of salmon swim in the shallow and narrow channel. Sad, because these salmon need to overcome many hardships, resist the impact of rapids, take the risk of being stranded, and go upstream with their belly full of eggs, just to return to the place where life was born and reproduce. Many details cannot be detailed, but you can find my uncle's article "The Pain of Salmon" in the "Mr. Ding's Articles" column, which I believe will give you a better understanding of salmon reflux.
Watching the return of salmon this time, my heart is not full of admiration for the magical sight of nature. More feelings are sadness and sighs. After arriving at the best viewing spot, we walked downstream from the path. The path was very narrow. At that time, only a few boys walked on this steep path, and there were few people. On the way, from time to time, you will smell the disgusting stench. And this taste comes from the salmon that has passed away. Most people think that the disappearance of these salmon is because of being stranded or overworked, but this is not a complete answer. Passing by the river under a bridge, the cold concrete floor was littered with droplet-like roe, traces of people who slaughtered salmon. However, not far away, a man was standing on the river, holding the freshly caught salmon in his hand, and walking towards the shore... These are the scenes we have personally experienced. It's still lingering in my mind, unforgettable. Maybe this is a common thing for people nowadays, maybe many people don't care about such behavior. But from a student's point of view, from the point of view of kindness, this kind of behavior is really, really not like what a person can do!
The return of salmon is a famous natural landscape in Canada, but according to the description of this landscape by my uncle a few years ago, the number of salmon now is less than one tenth or even one percent of that in the past. I don't want to say more, because even if I say more, the number of salmon will still decrease year by year, and there will still be people who catch them. But the premise of saying this is that now that we are in Canada, we have the opportunity to see such a scene and speak out. If we put it in our hometown on the other side of the earth, this natural scene may be extinct before we are born.
We are in a very good environment, but it is not the best environment, because the morality of the whole world is deteriorating, and now there is no standard for judging good and bad, and there is no bottom line for morality. Therefore, it is not that the foreign environment is the best, but it is better than the domestic environment. Now, the phenomenon of corruption does not only happen to salmon and other animals. When more and more people are seen throwing garbage on the street, when more and more people learn to cross the road, more and more animals are caught Killed, more and more people learn to calculate others and learn to be selfish. Then this is not a single thing, but the decline of the quality of the whole society. We are only students who have been in Canada for less than two years. In the past two years, we have witnessed the above-mentioned things with our own eyes. Whenever we see and think of these, we cannot help but ask why the world has become like this. Of course, we already have the only pure land left in the world, but I still have an illusion that one day, everyone will be able to return to beauty in this pure land.
the process of moving
At the beginning of October, the boys are going to move to a new place to live. Recalling that we have spent a year and a half in the house that is about to move out, we can't help but feel a little emotional about how time flies. At the same time, because there are many things, the moving process is a bit long, and in the process of moving in the past few days, some interesting things happened.
People who live overseas are somewhat aware that most of the international students from China will rent out houses, and once they move or enter halfway, they will witness extremely "spectacular" scenes (details can be found online for relevant reports), so Many overseas residents have a stereotyped impression of Chinese students renting a house, which is often referred to as glutinous, chaotic, and poor. And it is accompanied by extremely poor neighborhood relations, as well as a lot of negative emotions and events. My uncle taught us that the starting point for everything we do must be on the other side's point of view. So during the whole moving process, everyone is thinking about how to restore the house to its original appearance, or even a new look. And the final result is very satisfying. (Here I would like to thank Brother Bowei, because among our students, he is the most active and hard-working.) At the same time, during the process of moving, the neighbors around happened to meet and came over to say a few words of greetings. Seeing that it is moving, some neighbors even want to leave their contact information for future contact. According to Brother Hu, the neighbors around us gave us very good comments. From helping everyone to clean up the unattended garbage in the community, to building birdhouses for birds, etc., these neighbors have seen it all, appreciate it, and give praise. Of course, it should be noted here that this is the result of my uncle's education. If it weren't for the influence of the uncle's environment, we would not have been able to maintain the status quo. In stark contrast to the previous Chinese students, it is impossible to have these good qualities.
In addition to brief greetings from neighbors, we also received a unique farewell: greetings from animals. It is also very miraculous. Because we used to put some food that animals can eat at the door and backyard from time to time for those poor little animals. At that time we could see a lot of animals around the yard, and recently due to the move, we gradually stopped putting food outside, because if these animals are too dependent on the food we give, and once we move away , it will make many animals lose their food source, so it has been two weeks without food. And the chances of animals appearing are getting smaller and smaller. Amazingly, in the last few days of our move, some of the original animals came back on almost the same day. On Saturday, in the corner of the backyard (daytime) we saw the long-lost raccoon. Zhou Tian, when we got off the car, we saw familiar figures in the familiar grass: little turtledoves, little squirrels. As well as a small flock of sparrows and a few unknown birds. These little animals have not been seen for nearly a week or two, but they all returned here almost on the same day. Especially when the gate was open for a period of time, the little squirrels and little turtledoves even stood on the gate and wandered. They didn't run in just because the gate was open to make a fuss, but stood quietly at the door and looked in. It's like saying goodbye to us.
I think the arrival of the little animals can be said to be a well-deserved miracle. Because they haven't been here for a long time, and they have never been here on the same day, but they came out of the house together in the last few days to say goodbye. Really moved. The ancients said that it is necessary to know how to repay gratitude, but now people are rarely able to do it. But such a spirit is reflected in these animals, and I think it is really worthy of our deep consideration. This move reflects a lot of things, just as my uncle taught us: everything in life has its truth and is worth reflecting on. And through this experience, it also inspired everyone to work harder and continue to improve their determination under the guidance of my uncle.
