周六是元旦節，過了元旦就到了2022年了，晚上外面都在放煙花。因為國外過新年在1月1日，聖誕節和新年只差一周，又剛好都在周末，所以我們就相當於是連著兩周過節。這很有意思，因為現在中國不過聖誕節了，新年也是按農曆算。所以如果我們在中國的話，這兩個節日在這個時候就都沒了。雖然這次元旦我們沒有去市中心跨年，但看著窗外的煙花就可以想象到市政廳有多熱鬧！
Saturday was the first day of a year, now it’s 2022, there were fireworks outdoor. Because the new year is on 1st January in western countries, there’s only one week between Christmas and new year, and these two days were both exactly on weekends, so we were on holidays for two weeks. This is interesting, because there’s no Christmas in China now, and new year is also not on 1st January. So, there will not be such holidays like these if we are still in China. We didn’t go to Toronto Downtown this new year, but we can imagine that how lively there is in the city hall while we were looking at the fireworks outside!
又到了一月份，馬上就又是我和愷元哥的生日了。在這一年裏大家的進步都很大，愷元哥英語托福取得了相當不錯的成績，被很好的大學錄取，即將畢業了；小山哥的書法也有很大進步，並且寫了很多作品。其實最重要的還是大家有一個很好的學習和開發自己專業的環境，並且也有機會練習和提升英語水平。假如沒有來到國外的話，以前這些真是想都不敢想象的！
It’s January again, towards to Br. Rain’s and my birthdays. Everybody has a great improvement this year, Br. Rain has got a good mark in TOEFL, and going to graduate, Br. Mountain has a great improvement in calligraphy and made many great works. The most important thing is that we have got a pleasant environment to study and develop our own professions. If we haven’t come here, we will never be going to!
